Our words can change our world

Recently I saw an interesting video on youtube. It’s about a blind man begging on the street. He had a sign saying: “I am blind, please help.” but no one stopped. Only one woman noticed him. She took the sign and wrote some words on it. All of sudden people began to notice and started to give lots of money.
The blind man asked, “What did you write?” The woman said, “I just wrote the same thing you did but I used different words” The woman wrote: “ It’s a beautiful day and I can’t see it.“
The video ended with this powerful statement —-Change your words Change your world.
My dear friends, it has been a beautiful day and we all can see it. 🙂 Our words can change our world.
Words we are saying to ourselves and the words other people are saying to us can literally change our life.
That’s what happened to a young girl. She was born in an environment where people hardly say encouraging words. So she grew up as a very shy and timid girl. She lived a very sad life because of insecurities deep inside of her. But one day she went to a church where people kept telling her she is a child of God and she was born to be loved. They always say she did a great job every time she did something helpful. Because of all the positive words she is hearing, her life changed completely. She became talkative and outgoing. She became bold and courageous. She even preached in front of hundreds of people. What’s more, she started her own business by helping other people fulfill their dreams. yes. That girl is me. I’m a living testimony for this truth —- Our words can change our world.
I’m not just trying to give people a pep talk to puff everyone up. Let’s think of this logically…
According to psychologists, when we are children, our brain is like a blank sheet. Whatever we hear, we accept and believe, and what we believe will decide how we behave and who we become. I understand not everyone has a positive upbringing, that’s why it’s so important for adults to intentionally implement positive beliefs into our brain!
In order to do that, we need to constantly speak positive words to ourselves and others.
Even the science starts to prove this. A Japanese scientist called Dr. Masaru Emoto did some experiments on water. His research shows how human words can have a huge influence on molecules of water. (For more details, visit www.masaru-emoto.net/en/ )
Look at those pictures of water molecules, it’s amazing, isn’t it?
If our words can do that to water, just imagine what it will do to us.
We need to speak positive words to each other!
I remembered a friend from my Toastmaster club once came to me and said “You did a great job today. One day you can be a champion! ” He said it with such a smile and sincerity just like a loving father. I was very touched. I know I got a long way to go to become a champion and I know not everyone will become a champion, but I believe everyone should have a heart of champion. Everyone deserves a heart of champion! Let’s all be the cheerleader to each other!
Let’s do it.
BTW, look at the picture on the left! That’s how the water molecule looks like when we say “let’s do it!” to water!
Isn’t that beautiful?!
Let’s do it!
Let’s use our words to build our friends and families up.
Let’s do it!
Let’s use our words to change our world!!!
